The acceleration of cosmic rays caused by their interaction with anisotropic magnetohydrodynamical turbulence is studied. The particle acceleration is due to à large scale electric field generated in the turbulent medium owing to alpha-effect. The equilibrium cosmic ray spectra typical to the given acceleration mechanism are compared with particle energy distributions corresponding to the stochastic Fermi acceleration.
