On residuals in asteroid catalogues and on a possible nongravitational effect

Аннотация: In the previous paper one of the authors point to an possible existence of non-gravitational effect in the solar system which causes spatial separation of asteroids with different albedos and with sizes of some tens kilometres. Such conclusion was made on the basis of numeral calculations of asteroid orbit evolutions as well as on the basis of the analysis of asteroid albedo distributions. In order to find new arguments «for» or «against» the conclusion, we carried out the analysis of residuals in the asteroid orbit catalogues for 1996 and 2006. It is obtained that for the orbits with larger residuals the dependences pointing to the possibility of non-gravitational effect existence are appeared more clear and significant than corresponding dependences for the orbits with lesser residuals. This result can be considered as indirect confirmation of the possible existence of the non-gravitational effect. |
