Властивості галактик з активним зореутворенням у середньому ІЧ-діапазоні за даними космічного телескопа WISE

Анотація: 

Проведено дослідження фотометричних характеристик у середньому ІЧ-діапазоні вибірки компактних галактик з активним зореутворенням з 14-го випуску огляду неба SDSS. Вибірка налічує близько 30000 галактик. У спектрах усіх відібраних галактик спостерігаються емісійні лінії Hβ з еквівалентними ширинами EW(Hβ) > 1 нм. Відібрані галактики — компактні об’єкти з кутовими діаметрами менше 6”. Близько 10000 галактик зареєстровано на космічному телескопі WISE на довжинах хвиль 3.4 і 4.6 мкм. Значну кількість галактик зареєстровано також на довжинах хвиль 12 і 22 мкм. На основі цих даних та результатів спостережень в УФ-діапазоні на космічному телескопі GALEX показано, що нагрівання пилу в галактиках вибірки здійснюється УФ-випромінюванням масивних зір в областях зореутворення. У більшості з цих галактик на довжинах хвиль 3.4 і 4.6 мкм домінує випромінювання зір та іонізованого газу, тоді як на довжинах хвиль 12 і 22 мкм домінує випромінювання пилу. В деяких галактиках з великою світністю в лінії Hβ випромінювання пилу спостерігається вже на короткій довжині хвилі 3.4 мкм з крутим зростанням інтенсивності на довжині хвилі 4.6 мкм, та характеризується «червоним» кольором (W1 - W2 > 2m), де W1 і W2 — зоряні величини на довжинах хвиль 3.4 і 4.6 мкм відповідно. Ймовірна причина цього випромінювання — наявність гарячого пилу з температурою у сотні кельвін. Наведено список з 39 галактик з таким екстремально великим значенням показника кольору W1 - W2.
