The transversal velocities of about 40000 G5—K5 giants of extended compiled catalogue are used to determine parameters of galactic rotation from Ogorodnikov — Milne formulae. It is found that the Oort — Lindblad model including B, A', K, φ parameters, is sufficient to describe the galactic global rotation of giants in the vicinity of the Sun. The K and φ parameters are statistically significant only for G5—K0 giants. The orientation of the velocity ellipsoid is also determined as l₁ = 11.5±1.5°.
