On the line-tying of coronal loops

Abstract: 

Within the framework of energetic approach, we consider the problem of the line-tying of coronal loops in dense layers of the lower atmosphere of the Sun, which can stabilize some magnetohydrodynamic instabilities. Amplitude and phase relations between components of displacements of eigen oscillations of thin magnetic tubes are analysed. Conditions of excitation of resonance modes in coronal loops with rigid wall are discussed.
