Abstract: The influence of diffraction phenomena on the determination of moments of star occultations by the Moon from television observations was analysed. It is shown that taking into account the necessary corrections results in an essential increase of the accuracy of occultation moment determination from photometric curves. For bright stars, the accuracy can reach 3 ms under the real signal-to-noise ratio of television observations. |
