Abstract: 

Photometrical measurements for photographic images of the comet C/1987 P1 Bradfield are carried out with a slide scanner. The longitudinal and transversal scans of the cometary plasma tail are derived. The magnetic field induction and some other physical characteristics of the cometary plasma tail in November 1987 are estimated with the use of the diffusion model for a cometary tail of Shulman and Nazarchuk (1968). The possibility to apply measurements with the slide scanner for photometrical studies is shown.
