On cyclicity of solar magnetic fields during cycles 21-23

Abstract: 

The cyclicity of weak local and strong large-scale components of low-altitude solar magnetic field during last three cycles of solar activity is investigated. For this average monthly values for the total square of sunspots and for the mean magnetic field of the Sun as a star are used. A local decrease in the magnetic flow of both components during the phase of the activity growth is discovered. The decrease agrees closely with intervals of “monopole” of the polar magnetic field of the Sun.
