Abstract:

The structure of the solar neighbourhoods, their locations in the Galaxy and their distances from the Galaxy centre are analyzed. We consider catalogues of stars and substars closest to the Sun that are compiled on the basis of ground-based and space mission results in the optical and infrared spectral regions. The problem of classification of celestial bodies of the Galaxy is discussed which takes into account astrophysical and cosmogonic criteria. The problem of determination of basic characteristics for the nearest stars and substars is analyzed. We consider statistical connections between the main characteristics of stars and substars which are revealed from their computed physical evolutionary models. The calculated differential distribution functions of the stellar and substellar astrophysical properties are discussed.
